The British boxer Anthony Joshua has been released from care, Nigerian authorities stated on Wednesday night. The fighter was caught in a vehicular crash outside Lagos on December 29th, a devastating event that claimed the lives of two of his valued colleagues.
Joshua had been receiving medical attention while recuperating from non-critical injuries, representatives stated earlier on Monday. The commissioner for information and strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, said in a statement online that Joshua was deemed clinically fit to leave and heal privately.
“The boxer and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to offer their condolences to his two deceased friends as they were being prepared for repatriation,” Omotosho said.
The two men who died were identified as Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a strength and conditioning coach. It was also noted that the champion was filled with sorrow and deeply emotional over the loss of his two dear friends.”
This update on his health comes as the global fight fans shared condolences for the star in the following the terrible crash.
