An investigation has uncovered that close to 90 flights linked to Jeffrey Epstein reportedly arrived at and departed from British airfields, with some reportedly carrying women from the UK who assert they were victimized by the convicted sex offender.
The travel manifests were part of thousands of court documents and papers made public by Epstein’s estate that have been released over the previous twelve months. The review uncovered 87 aircraft movements linked to Epstein – featuring many that were not previously known – landing or taking off from UK airports between the start of the 1990s and 2018.
Unidentified female passengers were documented among the travelers entering and exiting the UK. Significantly, 15 of these flights involving the UK occurred following Epstein’s 2008 guilty verdict for soliciting sex from a child.
“It was ‘appalling’ that there had never been a ‘thorough probe in the UK’ into his dealings in the country,” stated US lawyers acting for hundreds of Epstein survivors.
Evidence from one of the British victims aided the conviction of Epstein’s associate Ghislaine Maxwell of child sex-trafficking in the US in 2021. However, that individual has not been approached by British law enforcement, according to her Florida-based lawyer.
In a statement, the Metropolitan police said they had “not received any new evidence that would support restarting the probe.” They noted, “If fresh and pertinent information be presented to us, encompassing any resulting from the disclosure of documents in the US, we will assess it.”
Proposed legislation to make public every document held by the American government in concerning Epstein passed the House and Senate last month. The Department of Justice has until 19 December to follow through. A vast number of documents are expected to be released.
In a related development, a US judge ordered last week that the department could publicly release investigative materials from a trafficking prosecution against Maxwell, Epstein’s long-term associate, who is serving a 20-year jail term over the allegations.
